One final shout from the Ford stand at KLIMS13, and it’s a wrap of the Blue Oval reports from the show – the Ford Fusion Hybrid on display went about its business in quiet fashion; even on the press day last week, its shinier stable mates were getting all the looks and attention and largely ignoring it.
The hybrid bit of the Fusion is actually less important than the fact that the car previews the next-gen Mondeo that will eventually make its way here. Interestingly, the Mondeo nameplate will be dropped – the Fusion name is set to take over on the car when it arrives.
The Fusion Hybrid is powered by a 2.0 litre Atkinson cycle four-pot and an electric motor delivering 191 PS. In the US, Ford claims that its fuel economy will outperform the Camry Hybrid by four mpg (city) and five mpg (highway), and the Sonata Hybrid by 12 mpg and four mpg, respectively.

Besides the Aston-esque exterior which looks better here than on the Fiesta, I must say the interior is much better than current Mondeo. Certainly can give Passat a run for the money.

I am from Johor too and. I made my way there to check out this car. I talked to the guy there and found out that the new fusion will be out by year end…. 2014’s year end O_O

In order to push Ford sales,auto connection need to set up more 3S center in Johor,as for Johor Bahru area,there is only one service center at Johor Jaya,too bad,hope auto connection will look into this matter seriously.

Fusion = Left hand drive
Thus, it will be called Mondeo when it arrives
