Here’s a set of leaked pics starring the Volvo Concept Estate, which will make its official debut at the Geneva show next week. The Swedes released official teaser pics of the car in covers last week, giving us a glimpse of what to expect, but now we can properly drool.
Clearly related to the sleek Concept Coupe from Frankfurt 2013 and Concept XC Coupe from Detroit 2014, the Concept Estate is a shooting brake inspired by the Volvo 1800 ES of the 1970s. It’s the last of Volvo’s trilogy of concept cars penned by new design boss Thomas Ingenlath.
The Concept Estate and its siblings are effectively design previews of the next-generation of Volvos, starting with the new XC90 SUV due late this year. This dashboard layout, with a tablet-style touchscreen as centrepiece, cuts clutter and will feature in the next XC90 relatively unchanged, according to reports.
So Volvo, so sexy. Does it move you?
no way, this is a volvo, i hate it. all volvo are rubbish and boring.
What shooting brake is this? This car can ejaculate kah?
Stop talking to yourself
MMm….wonder what ride you are on ???
Looks more like a mini estate…going to compete with BMW’s 1 & 2 series.
Nice design though, big Ipad like display, hope it does goes into production.
WOW…Volvo is bringing Sexy back! Hope it will make it into production.
Awesome concept. Very short gear knob, big sunroof, big tablet, everything looks interesting. hope local manufacturer doing this great concept, just a concept first.
The P1800 ES lives!! and what a fine looking succesor[-personal opinion may differ-], thou the interior ddoes have large hints at Porsche’s Panamera or Cayenne.
