The Formula 1 circus is in town for the 2015 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix, flagging-off this weekend at the Sepang International Circuit. Leading up to the 56-lap race, Formula 1-related activities have started to fill up our calendars.
Earlier today, Petronas organised an event with Mercedes AMG Petronas driver Nico Rosberg, son of World Champion Keke Rosberg and considered a strong contender for this year’s Formula 1 Driver’s Championship. The German driver gave taxi rides for a select few at the Binjai multi-storey carpark in KLCC, and we were lucky enough to be one of them.
Rosberg’s weapon of choice was a PETRONAS PRIMAX powered Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG shod with a 360 hp 2.0 litre turbocharged motor with 450 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via 4MATIC, through an AMG Speedshift DCT seven-speed dual clutch transmission.
To share our experience, we recorded a simple video for your viewing pleasure. You can also check out a mega gallery after the jump.

I see the Flying Singh being interviewed. Like VIP man. Hope he managed to learn some breathing techniques from Nico.
An AMG C63 would’ve been a more fun choice – all torque to the rear and a glorious V8 soundtrack. But rather dangerous on a rooftop carpark.
this is awesome
Cool driving
i wonder if the GLA is the better performer instead of the A45, petronas ads also use the GLA instead of the A45
Superb opportunity!!
Rosberg didn’t get the memo about letting that guy sneak up behind him
