VIDEO: Lotus Evora 400 laps the Pasir Gudang Circuit

Evora 400 – Faster & Lighter @ Pasir Gudang Circuit

Here's a lap of the Johor Circuit in the Evora 400 during the LOCM Track Day last Sunday! #LotusCarsMalaysia #PureDriving

We’ve seen it in the metal, at the showrooms, and now a new video posted on Lotus Cars Malaysia’s Facebook page shows the Lotus Evora 400 on a whole new level. Filmed at the Johor Circuit in Pasir Gudang, we see (and hear) the car, piloted by Tengku Djan, going fast on the track.

Likely to be the same car we saw going up Genting early last month, we get to see the Evora 400 on a more personal note on track. Launched not too long ago, two thirds of the parts in the the 2016 Lotus Evora 400 are new. This includes its new aluminium chassis and lightweight composite body with major changes at the front and back. AP Racing 370 mm composite two-piece brake discs and a limited slip differential are all also included in the mix.

It sports a Toyota-derived 3.5 litre V6 engine with an Edelbrock supercharger and a new charge cooler. In addition to that, there’s a driver-activated cat converter by-pass that will turn the exhaust into a free-flow system. In total, the Evora 400 is able to push out 400 hp and 410 Nm of torque. It goes from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 300 km/h.

In Malaysia, the Evora 400 is available in either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic, and comes in three option packs. Prices for the manual Evora 400 starts at Base – RM597,999, Option One – RM624,999, Option Two – RM640,999. For the automatic Evora 400, prices start at Base – RM610,999, Option One – RM637,999 and Option Two – RM653,999.

    • Sorry lo Potong (with Toyota inside). New AMG A45 can also do century sprint 4.2s also. Is cheaper, more status and desirable too.

Bro, lotus is all about pure driving with perfect engagement of the car. Manual gearstick, hydraulic steering with superb feel and the handling is awesome. You cant even compare A45 to this machine. Dont just see the top speed and acceleration :)

the difference is lotus and other manufacturers are using the lap times to sell their cars. while top gear bought the cars using their own money, so they can lap on whichever track they choose.
