Toyota has dropped this teaser image, which is supposedly of “the next mechanical marvel in the Prius line-up.” Not much else is known, but Toyota says it boasts “stand-out style and intelligent eco-tech,” and will debut at the 2016 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS) next week.
As one can clearly see, the teaser shows a vehicle’s rear tail lights. However, unlike the fourth-generation Prius’ vertical-flowing design, this one streams horizontally across the rear hatch. The lights below form a boomerang-shape design.
Taking a closer look at the centre piece and the third-brake lamp can be seen. While the main focus may solely be on the rear lights, the other noticeable element is the low roofline. It’s likely that this will be a new plug-in hybrid version of the Prius, rather than a new Prius c hatch or a Prius v MPV.

Eco tech? Yaa…can reduce rubbishman pollute the earth. Easiest way, hahaha
It’s probably a Toyota Sai. Read about it and seems to be a very respectable product, sharing the same platform and hybrid drivetrain as the Lexus HS. The front and rear lights are very impressive.
