With the full opening of the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line on July 17, MyRapid card users are requested to change their cards to the new MyRapid Touch n Go (TnG) cards by July 15 to allow for seamless travels between the MRT and other Rapid KL rail and bus networks. The current MyRapid card will cease to function after July 15.
“Rapid KL has allocated a full month for all MyRapid card holders to change their cards and migrate to the new MyRapid TnG platform. The migration exercise starts tomorrow and closes on July 15. With the new MyRapid TnG cards, commuters can access and travel seamlessly to all Rapid KL services – buses, LRTs, monorail and the MRT,” Prasarana said in a statement today.
The migration exercise covers the normal MyRapid cards and MyRapid concession cards, including those for senior citizens, students and the physically-challenged (OKU).
For the normal MyRapid cards, customers can migrate their cards at all Rapid KL Customer Service Offices (CSOs) at LRT, Monorail and BRT stations, except at the Abdullah Hukum LRT Station. The migration exercise can be done during the operational hours of the stations.
For the concession cards, the replacement can be only done at the concession card counter at the Pasar Seni bus hub as it requires card holders to fill in the relevant forms and for their photos taken for identification. The card migration is free of charge, and the balance in the current card will be transferred to the new one. However, the balance will have to be rounded up to the next RM5.
“For example, if the balance in the current MyRapid card is RM2.50, you will need to reload another RM2.50, to make it RM5.00. If it is RM13.70, you will need to reload RM1.30, to make it RM15.00. If the balance is RM17.00, you will need to reload RM3.00, to make it RM20.00. Reloading can be done at the CSOs,” Prasarana’s head of group communications and strategic marketing department, Lim Jin Aun explained.
MyRapid card users subscribed to the Smart 7, Smart 30 and MyRapid Bus 30 packages will still continue to enjoy the same benefits with the new MyRapid TnG cards. “However, subscribers under these packages cannot migrate the remaining days. Hence, we strongly advise the subscribers to finish up the remaining days before migrating to the new MyRapid TnG card,” Lim said.
At the Park n Ride facilities in Gombak and Ampang LRT stations, one can still enjoy the flat rate of RM4 per entry at when taking the LRT, Monorail and the BRT using MyRapid TnG cards. The Park n Ride facility at the Ampang LRT Station is currently open for free until September 2017.
Further details on the MyRapid card migration exercise can be found at www.myrapid.com.my. One can also call the Rapid KL contact centre at 03-78852525 during office hours.

Rapid is move back to TnG from their own charge cards. Simplicity is still the best, i guess.
Billions of RM collected all earn interests….where does the interests money go?
Making ur life more convenient?
Ur still welcomed to pay ur fare with 10 sen coins, but is ur lifetime worth to do it?
hahahaaa…..waste money by change new card. Gave business to crony only. MyRapid card manufacturer can closed factory now.
Absurb, stupid, brainless, inefficient. How do you expect people to change to the new card when only 200 renewal a day. How are the school children to renew their cards. Since yesterday by 10 am the 200 limit is all taken up. Mind you only 23 days to renew. 200 x 23 = 4,600 cards can only be renewed in Pasar Seni. You mean you only have 4,600 people holding the concession cards. Wonder the management of Rapid has brain.
Their current ticket machine cannot reload the new TnG card, rendering it useless for cardholder until someone pour more money to retrofit it for TnG.
in the meantime, happy hunting/queuing for free TnG reload spot.
Here u go. Dun be lazy.

MPH, guardian, petronas is chargeless. Dun be lazy.
Kasi susah lagi kat orang ramai…..
Ridiculous. Absolutely absurd. So inefficient. They only process 200 renewal per day at Pasar Seni. Turnng away school children that rushed to Pasar Seni after morning school to renew. Knowing the short time period allowed for the renewal, they should have more personnel to process the renewal especially for school children that has to attend school.
