In conjuction with the Penang Bridge International Marathon 2017, the Penang Bridge will be temporarily closed to all traffic from 12 am to 10 am this on Sunday (November 26), theSundaily reports.
PLUS Malaysia (PLUS) advised the public to plan their journeys and use alternate routes during the period. Motorists can either use the Sultan Abdul Halim Muad’zam Shah Bridge (Penang Second Bridge) or the 24-hour ferry services as alternatives to commute in or out of the island.
The public have also been advised to follow all on-site instructions during the bridge closure. “The bridge will be operating as usual upon completion of the event. PLUS thanks all highway users for their cooperation,” the highway concessionaire said via a statement.
