Honda Malaysia CNY promotion – up to RM15k rebate

With the Chinese New Year festivities coming up, Honda Malaysia is making it even more tempting to own a Honda with its ‘888 deals’ promotion. On offer are rebates of up to RM15,000 and additional ang pows worth RM888 with each purchase. All models and their respective variants (including hybrids) are involved in the campaign, save for the Civic Type R.

On the SUV front, a RM1,112 rebate is being offered for the 2018 model year CR-Vs, HR-Vs and BR-Vs. Those who opt for 2017 model year units will benefit from higher rebates – RM6,000 for the CR-V, RM4,000 for the HR-V and RM5,000 for BR-V.

Moving on to sedans, the rebate for the City stands at RM1,112, followed by the Civic (RM112) and Accord (RM2,112). This is for 2018 model year units, with 2017 models receiving larger rebates – RM5,000 for the City, RM4,000 for the Civic and RM8,000 for the Accord.

In the hatchback segment, the Honda Jazz is being offered with a rebate of RM2,112 (2018 model year) and RM6,000 (2017 model year). Lastly, 2017 model year units of the Odyssey come with a rebate worth RM15,000.

As mention at the start, a RM888 ang pow accompanies each purchase, which brings the total package value to between RM1,000 to RM15,888. There’s also a chance to win a RM300 service voucher with your purchase, plus an exclusive reunion gift set.

This is DRB-Honda, this is no business ethics, this is betul-betul sohai… Mai press-conference open disclosed DRB-Honda granted rm15,000 rebate under EEV, City1.5@rm75,000. Now you see Civic1.8 EEV rm15,000 been songklap become rm112. RM15000 become RM112 —> sohai only buy.

yup. because cars made in 2017 and sold in 2017 will depreciate and because of that, cars made in 2018 and sold in 2018 will also depreciate even though it can be only between November and February. but you know, Malaysians…

When U take loan or sell car, they always look at yr of manufactured. When U register in 2018, it is still last yr car meaning older car.

That is why there is a 5-10% discount or depreciation in terms of asset. Hope it helped!

    • not surprising considering it’s coming from the same company that managed the other (sold) car manufacturer who told the whole world they only made RM500 profit per car produced.

Weeks ago mai disclosed actually under EEV status Honda car price already given rm15,000 tax rebate, City@75k. With 30millions mesia support Honda make non-national sales No.1, in return DRB-Honda cheating with no price cut on Civic, Civic been selling same price 110k since 2gen back, by right Civic should selling st rm95,000 now. The Civic rm15,000 EEV been songklap under DRB, now left only rm112 rebate for 2018CNY. With giving Rm112 rebate —> really make 30m mesia who bought DRB Honda become double SOHAI…

  • Let me quote such erudite comments prior:
“In the yard, got so many Hondas lying in the hot sun. Cannot sell.
Honda refuses to cut down on its staff and production. But leave all the car to rot in the hot sun”

“Honda cuci gudang… Mau wang, takmau barang”

“Should be 50% off for the accord. The others 30% off…”

Discount given is not only about clearing unsold stock but also many other factors like RV of previous owner and features in new models especially where informations are readily available online.

  • Their vehicle built quality still like garbage and aftersales sux big time,Honda Malaysia mind as well should give rebate for a minimum of 70 to 80 percent off for all their models and Rm100k for their Type R FK8.
Give free gifts should instead be free car spare parts like Steering wheels, headlights and new doors perhaps. LOL.
