Hyundai i30 N previews ‘N Option’ line of accessories

The Hyundai i30 N is already a desirable hot hatch, with 275 PS and being six-speed manual only, but there’s more to come. Hyundai has revealed the i30 N ‘N Option’ show car at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, and it’s a preview of an ‘N Option’ line of accessories the Korean carmaker is working on. Think BMW’s M Performance parts.

To be launched in the “near future”, the i30 ‘N Option’ showcases 25 exterior and interior individualisation options. The exterior parts include, for example, a carbon rear wing with the N logo, a carbon hood with integrated air vents, quad mufflers and the N grille surrounded by a red line.

Those wheels are casted lightweight 20-inch rims fitted with high-performance semi-slick tyres. The i30 N ‘N Option’ exterior colour is a unique matte paint specially created for the show car.

Inside, black carbon accents can be found on the dashboard as well as around the air vents, door handles and on the Alcantara steering wheel’s bottom spoke. The upper dashboard and the lightweight bucket seats (with a red line in the middle, looks a lot racier than standard seats) are also covered in the suede-like material. The look is completed with sport pedals and a unique gear knob, among other things.

Besides this dressed-up car, Hyundai also gave the new i30 Fastback N its motor show debut in Paris. Essentially the i30 N on the “five-door coupe” Fastback body launched in mid-2017, the 275 PS/353 Nm car does 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.
