Mitsubishi Malaysia sees sales growth in 1H FY 2018

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has announced its sales performance during the first half of the company’s financial year (FY 2018) from April to September. During that period, it managed to deliver 4,788 vehicles, which represents a 66% increase from the same period in the last financial year (FY 2017).

The encouraging figures were largely due to the sales of the Triton and Outlander, with the former accounting for 3,120 units sold, while the seven-seat SUV saw 1,345 units sold. Both models also saw a significant spike in sales from the April-September period in FY 2017 by as much as 482%.

“Late last year, we have repositioned our Triton variants to benefit our customers not only in terms of handling, performance and safety, but also to price it affordably to cater for different customers. The positive sales results were also further boosted by the tax holiday period from June-August 2018” said Tomoyuki Shinnishi, CEO of MMM.

“We are also pleased to share that the Triton is still, the only pick-up offering up to 200,000 km or five years of warranty. That means our customers will get to travel more mileage with an added peace of mind,” he added.

The introduction of the locally-assembled Outlander in September 2017 – first with the 2.0 AWD model and followed by the 2.4 AWD later in January 2018 – was also a cause for the sales performance of the SUV.

“MMM is overall looking at a very positive outlook for the future. We thank our customers for their support towards the Mitsubishi brand. For our customers confidence and satisfaction in our products and services, MMM is committed to continuously deliver only the best,” Shinnishi ended.

The Outlander is doing very well. Mitsubishi should drop prices a bit, then habis lah X70. DOA.

Even Mitsubishi drop to RM110k also, X70 can already be DOA.

Nothing like Japanese quality as opposed to China quality

mitsubishi is extremely slow in introducing new models. Their facelifts can last other brands of 2 new models.
I wanted to wait for new pajero sport but I gave up so I opt for toyota fortuner.
