Electrical cable theft on the Federal Highway motorcycle lane poses a danger to motorcyclists. In a social media post, Petaling District Works Department Electrical Engineering Department highlighted a case of cable theft at the tunnel underneath the Batu Tiga interchange heading to Klang.
In the post, the comment, “a clean sweep”, indicates the severity of the theft. From photos, the underground cables for motorcycle lane lighting heading into the tunnel, as well as inside the tunnel itself, are gone.
The department indicated they will be rectifying the damage and activate the lighting inside the tunnel on an immediate basis. However, the post indicated that the maintenance and repair allocation for this year has been spent and a new request has to be forwarded for approval for remedial works.
Riders using this stretch of lane on the Federal Highway are advised to be careful and exercise caution when entering the tunnel. Paultan.org has previously highlighted issues with the Federal Highway motorcycle lanes, including poor design, maintenance and incidents of flooding.
this is exactly why Malaysians cannot have good things. no civic mindedness

Haha, I blame auto correct. Thanks for spotting the typo.
Anyone still wondering why some motorcylcists dare not use the bike lane? This is just ONE of the reasons why!
I blame mat rempit for stealing.
I think Chong Rempit and Samy Rempit collaboration with Mat Rempit pull off this task .
