If you like wearing the colour black, chances are that you may be partial to it on a vehicle, too. Perodua has teased a model that will be offered in this colour, and despite the darkened image, it doesn’t take much guessing that the model alluded to is the Aruz.
When Perodua previously rolled out an update for the seven-seater SUV in 2021, the revision brought equipment updates along with the Passion Red paint colour, which replaced the Amazon Green shade that was discontinued the year before.
It remains to be confirmed if the arrival of this new black paint option would replace the Passion Red finish, or another choice from the palette, and if the new colour will be exclusive to the top AV variant or be offered more widely.
At present, key hardware specifications for the Aruz remains as it has since its debut, namely with a 2NR-VE 1.5 litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 101 hp and 131 Nm, driving the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
Equipment currently offered on the Aruz includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, LED taillights, keyless entry and engine start, a built-in toll reader, manual air-conditioning with digital controls and rear vents, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system, six speaker-audio, six airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, VSC, traction control, hill start assist, a reverse camera as well as solar and security window film.
The top AV variant brings automatic LED headlamps, roof rails, SmartLink smartphone mirroring, leather upholstery (the X gets fabric), a driving video recorder (dashcam) and Advance Safety Assist 2.0 (ASA 2.0) systems, which consist of Pre-collision Warning, Pre-collision Braking, Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation Control.

Honda CRV “black” edition LOL
MR.Perodua
The main aduan against Aruz is the bouncy suspension.Other than that, there is little to fault it.
It drives like the early generation Avanza.
So instead of playing with color change, just redesign the suspension, whats so difficult? You need Iranian rocket science?
The Aruz’s platform is basically same as the one used by 1st gen Avanza 20 years ago.
If u want comfy suspension, get the Alza.
The Aruz is meant to be dual purpose as a daily runabout with ability to transport heavy loads. The compromise is stiffer rear suspension.
The Aruz uses coil spring rear suspension, so its not really capable of heavy payload. Its suspension is mainly designed for bad road condition, same like the Unser and Innova.
red edition untuk warga SjkC is a better business decision
Black, as in like the black hole in your noggin. *cricket chirping*
dah dah, already start ur engine dy
Betul punya bang KPKB
Will like 360 degree camera and Blingind Sport Monitoring. Please keep the Toll Reader as very convenient to use T&G card that double as parking payment too. I already bought an Alza but prefer Aruz for the greater ride height. Will trade in if new Aruz comes out
I hate Black Cars as magnet of Heat built up in the car. Car interiors will damage faster due to heat built up. Further magnet for accidents as visibility of black cars are lesser compared to brightly coloured car . Nothing special to me if black edition comes out.
Why so bitter?
It’s still the same D38L.
Hope they put in CarPlay…
Clearing old stocks actually, as we r at the 4th quarter of the year as the much anticipated D66 aka Nexis or No Exist have slimmer down.
x variant pun dah rm72k+, baik beli alza H spec jer lah. Yang asa 2.0, eco idle, 6 airbags tu kalau boleh pilih i taknak ya. Bagi i reverse camera biasa jer cukup, seat i boleh masuk kan gear up yg grey color punya.
