Here’s a gallery of the Zeekr X in Premium RWD guise, which is one of two variants offered for the fully electric crossover, with the other being the Flagship AWD. The X is currently open for order taking and is estimated to be priced below RM180,000 when it goes on sale in Malaysia.
The Premium RWD is the base variant in the X line-up and uses the same nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery with a net energy capacity of 66 kWh (69 kWh gross) as the range-topping Flagship AWD.
This powers a rear-mounted electric motor rated at 272 PS (268 hp or 200 kW) and 343 Nm of torque that enables a 0-100 km/h time of 5.6 seconds. The AWD variant is more powerful with a dual-motor setup making 428 PS (422 hp or 315 kW) and 543 Nm for a quicker century sprint time down to 3.8 seconds.
However, the RWD offers more range at 440 km following the WLTP standard compared to the AWD that provides 420 km. As for charging, both variants support DC fast charging at a peak capacity of 150 kW (10-80% state of charge in around 30 minutes) but the RWD’s AC charging capacity is limited to 7.2 kW instead of 11 kW that the AWD supports.
From the outside, the RWD is differentiated from the AWD by its smaller wheels that measure 18 inches instead of 19 inches, and there’s no intelligent B-pillar that sees a small screen to show the charging status.
As for the interior, the RWD comes with a seven-speaker sound system instead of the AWD’s 13-speaker Yamaha setup – you can spot the lack of tweeters on the front pillars. There’s also no augmented reality head-up display with a projection area of 24.3-inches.
Beyond these differences, the rest of the RWD is nearly identical to the AWD. Standard equipment for the X includes full LED headlamps, LED DRLs, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate and a wireless mobile phone charger.
Seven airbags and a full ADAS suite are included, the latter with autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, lane centring control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, front and rear cross traffic alert, assisted parking and driver monitoring.
The X will be offered in five exterior colours, namely Crystal White, Mist Grey, Grid Grey, Palace Beige and Pine Green. Regardless of which you go with, the interior comes in a Charcoal Black and Stone Grey two-tone theme.
If you want to check out the X in-person, the crossover is currently on display alongside the 009 MPV (also available for booking) at Zeekr Malaysia’s new pop-up store located in Sunway Pyramid.
