The 009 MPV isn’t the only Zeekr model currently on display at Sunway Pinnacle, as the Zeekr X is also present at the location. Like the 009, the fully-electric X isn’t on sale in Malaysia yet, but the order books have been opened for it. Indicative pricing for the crossover is said to be under RM180,000.
The X will be offered in two variants for our market, and these are the Premium RWD and Flagship AWD, the line-up similar to that seen in Singapore, where the X is available in rear- and all-wheel drive guises.
The RWD features an electric motor offering 272 PS (268 hp or 200 kW) and 343 Nm of torque, enabling it to do the 0-100 km/h run in 5.6 seconds. As for the Flagship AWD, its dual-motor setup delivers 428 PS (422 hp or 315 kW) and 543 Nm, bringing the century sprint time down to 3.8 seconds.
Both variants feature a nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery with a net energy capacity of 66 kWh (69 kWh gross), with the Premium RWD capable of 440 km of WLTP-rated range. Meanwhile, the additional performance of the AWD means that it sacrifices some range, with 420 km of travel quoted for it on a single charge.
Top speed is identical on both versions, and that’s 190 km/h. As for charging, the Zeekr X supports DC fast charging at a peak capacity of 150 kW, enabling a 10-80% state of charge to be accomplished in around 30 minutes. For AC charging, the maximum rate is 7.2 kW for the Premium RWD and 11 kW for the Flagship AWD, with the latter taking about seven hours to accomplish a full charge.
Standard equipment for the X includes full LED headlamps, LED DRLs, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate and a wireless mobile phone charger. The AWD adds on an augmented reality head-up display, and expands audio system from the RWD’s seven-speaker set-up to a 13-speaker Yamaha one.
Seven airbags and a full ADAS suite are also mentioned, the latter including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, lane centring control, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, front and rear cross traffic alert, assisted parking and driver monitoring.
As for exterior colours, five are available for the Zeekr X, and these are Crystal White, Mist Grey, Grid Grey, Palace Beige and Pine Green. All will come with the same Charcoal Black and Stone Grey two-tone interior.
