Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) today launched the Wolfsburg Edition of the Arteon R-Line 4Motion, which is one of several special editions that will make their public debut at the upcoming Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025).
With a recommend retail price (RRP) of RM304,990 or RM306,012 on-the-road without insurance, the Arteon R-Line 4Motion Wolfsburg Edition (that’s its full name) is RM5,000 more than a regular Arteon. It should be noted that the OTR price is inclusive of the Volkswagen Assurance Package (VAP); without it, the Wolfsburg Edition’s OTR price without insurance is RM292,612.
We did notice that the VAP is more comprehensive for the Wolfsburg Edition. Referring to VPCM’s official spec sheets, the standard Arteon with VAP comes with a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty, a five-year, 75,000-km maintenance package and five-year roadside assistance. However, the Wolfsburg Edition’s maintenance package is for seven years or 105,000 km (whichever comes first), with all else (vehicle warranty and roadside assistance) being equal, including the 15,000-km or 12-month service interval.
As part of an introductory special offer, the Wolfsburg Edition is available with savings of RM40,000, which brings the RRP down to RM264,990 (or RM266,012 OTR without insurance). As such, you’re paying less for a longer-term maintenance package on top of goodies that are exclusive to the Wolfsburg Edition.
The latter includes the Wolfburg crest emblem on the B-pillars, Volkswagen-branded tyre valve caps as well as a Volkswagen Universal Traffic Recorder 2.0 (UTR2.0) that adds front and rear dashcams featuring Sony’s Starvis night-vision image sensor.
The list continues with illuminated door sill trim with the Volkswagen logo, a tailgate protective strip, Volkswagen Dynamic hub caps and cargo elements with velcro fasteners on the boot floor mat. Buyers will also receive an owners’ box that contains a branded keyholder, a certificate of authenticity and Wolfsburg Edition floor mats.
Beyond these changes, the rest of the Wolfsburg Edition is identical to a standard Arteon, with the engine being a 2.0 litre turbocharged inline-four petrol unit rated at 280 PS (276 hp or 206 kW) and 350 Nm of torque. This is mated to a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive system.
Standard features include 19-inch ‘Montevideo’ alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting, the R-Line styling package, Nappa carbon-print leather seat upholstery, front sports seats, 30-colour ambient lighting, three-zone climate control, keyless entry and start, a 9.2-inch Discover Pro touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a wireless charging pad, selectable drive modes, a 700-watt Harman Kardon sound system and the IQ.Drive suite of ADAS.

At RM265k, still better value than the Camry for the 7 years service and maintenance, ADAS plus dual camera etc. Also it’s bigger than the Camry all round and better leather, with 3 zone a/c.
