Johor govt in talks with Grab to enhance cross border travel agreement between Malaysia and Singapore

The Johor state government is in talks with ride-hailing firm Grab to further streamline travel between the state and Singapore by updating the cross-border travel agreement, Bernama has reported.

Discussions on the matter are part of broader efforts to enhance the transportation and tourism sectors in Johor ahead of Visit Johor Year 2026, said Johor chief minister Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

“The discussions also explored potential cross-border collaborations involving the Malaysian and Singaporean transport ministries, alongside the role of Grab and other public transport providers in facilitating smoother travel between the two countries,” he said.
