Proton X50 facelift deliveries reach 999 units since launch – 2,000 units produced as of end of July 2025

Proton has announced it has delivered 999 units of the facelifted X50 to customers over a period of five working days since the refreshed SUV was launched on July 24 this year. To keep up with demand, the company also revealed that 2,000 units of the latest X50 have rolled off the production line at Tanjong Malim as at the end of last month.

According to Proton Edar deputy CEO Zhang Qiang, 8,000 bookings for the X50 have been received as at the end of July. Previously, the company said it secured 5,000 bookings in 10 days prior to the price reveal.

Offered in three variants, the X50 starts at RM89,800 on-the-road without insurance for the base Executive, rising up to RM101,800 for the mid-range Premium and on to RM113,300 for the range-topping Flagship. As part of a launch promo, the first 10,000 customers who place a booking before October 31 will enjoy a RM4,000 rebate, bringing the price range down from RM85,800 to RM109,300.

All variants feature a new BHE15TD 1.5 litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine with direct fuel injection, which replaces the pre-facelift’s three-cylinder mill that was offered with port (PFI) or direct injection (TGDi). The BHE15TD unit produces 181 PS and 290 Nm of torque, an increase of 4 PS and 35 Nm over the outgoing TGDi engine, and 31 PS and 64 Nm compared to the old PFI unit. A seven-speed wet dual-clutch remains the default transmission, with drive sent to the front wheels.

    Congratulations P1
    If there is 1.5H-EV,
    The sales could be skyrocketing
For better smoothness and fuel efficiency

Proton…again mess up..u know diehards fanboys will overbook…cant u start production months earlier? Now if fanboys have to wait 6 months,n another China suv launch tomorrow with ample stocks, some of the bookings will migrate elsewhere.Since the Roslan dude migrated to the Great Wall of China, things became worst.
      Just poor mediocre planning,Protong.
