Mobi, Trek Rides, Kummute apps to be consolidated into one Rapid On-Demand app beginning November

Currently, users of the popular Rapid KL On-Demand first- and last-mile vans need to use different apps (Mobi/Trek Rides/Kummute) depending on the zone, but from next month, the three apps will be streamlined into one Rapid On-Demand app for all zones, Bernama reports.

“This streamlining will be implemented in stages, starting with the zones currently using the Mobi and Trek Rides apps (Phase 1) on November 1, followed by zones using the Kummute app (Phase 2) in mid-November. With this streamlining, users now only need to use one app to make Rapid On-Demand bookings in all zones operated by Rapid KL, making the travel experience easier, faster and more user-friendly.

“Previously, users had to download and use different apps based on the zones, which could be confusing. With this single app, the booking process becomes easier, faster and consistent across all service areas,” Rapid Bus acting CEO Ku Jamil Zakaria said today in a statement.

There will also be new zones to enhance connectivity – these will be plied by 50 vans and combine, amongst others, Metro Prima-Taman Botani Kepong (FRIM), Serdang Raya Selatan-Taman Bukit Serdang, Semantan-Menara DBKL and Semantan-KTM Segambut.
