The Selangor road transport department (JPJ Selangor) has seized a Lamborghini Aventador for various offences under the ongoing Ops Luxury.
According to the department, the 6.5 litre V12-powered Aventador was found to have an expired road tax as well as being fitted number plates that did not meet JPJ specifications. The vehicle is currently impounded at JPJ Shah Alam pending further action.
Since the launch of Ops Luxury in July last year, 915 luxury vehicles have been seized, most of which were found not having a valid road tax. That figure has surely gone up since it was reported last December, as state JPJ departments have posted more “captures” on their respective Facebook pages.
“JPJ Selangor continuously monitors all complaints to ensure that vehicles always comply with the established road rules and laws. The public can report any traffic violation to [email protected] or the e-aduan application platform,” JPJ Selangor said in its Facebook post.

Basically PH Gomen duwan Msians to drive expensip Lambos . They want to keep impounding only supercars while the poor get off scot-free. PH Gomen is working only for all the poor and not for the T1 wealthy Malaysia.
Kreta besar otak kecik… Kaya tapi bodo
Ain’t it long enough already all these vehicles without roadtax and insurance on the road?
Plenty of time and warnings have been given.
So when will the authorities start scrapping these caught vehicles instead of catch and release for them to repeat the offence another day?
They should seize and impound every single vehicle on the road with fancy number plates. Things like number plates is something that doesn’t take any effort to comply. People who can’t comply with a simple law obviously are those who are flouting lots of other laws. Definitely a nuisance to society.
So does that mean we get to bid on these cars using that new app that the government just launched ?
The cars which end up being put up for bidding in govt auctions are those which have not been reclaimed by the registered owners after being seized & impounded. In the case of this Aventador, the owner is likely to be loaded enough to renew the road tax, pay the fine & reclaim back the car from the impound.
no road tax then govt dunno you buy… run income tax run road tax run everything…
The above article mentioned that this Lambo was found with expired road tax which means that it is registered with JPJ & thus the govt would still know the owner’s identity even if he or she didn’t renew the road tax that costs almost RM18k a year for 6.5L engine displacement.

Ceaki orang cekai cekap
Personally I prefer they focus on catching queue cutters. I see queue cutting every single day and is a damn nuisance. Supercars you don’t see everyday.
How come motorbikes no license, no road tax, no insurance only get saman.
Because PH Gomen duwan Msians to drive expensip Lambos . They want to keep impounding only supercars while the poor get off scot-free. PH Gomen is working for all the B40 poor and is punishing only the wealthy Malaysian.
if the present govt is really making life difficult for its wealthy citizens, either there would be already many lawsuits against the govt, or many of the wealthy would have already left the country. however, we still have this wealthy aventador owner who was still driving this car around after its roadtax had expired, openly breaking the law.
the irony is many wealthy malaysians have indeed already left the country inclding
-daim children
– former PM sabri son
– former pM muhyiddin son in law
do u mean all those individuals whom u mentioned left the country because they were caught driving luxury cars with expired road tax or because of much more serious offences?
even motorbikes with no road tax & no insurance cannot be legally used on public roads & thus will also get seized & impounded if found being used as such.
As expected answer from morons
Alot cars especially MPV using motorcycle even smaller size on the number and alphabet. The problem i do not care about if you are paying summon but I do care what if you hit and run and the victim not able to see your licence plate because is not standard size? There is reason why there is certain size need to be follow, not your own desire to use whatever size you wanted.
