During a special enforcement operation at the Genting Highlands entry toll plaza last Sunday (May 9, 2026), over 100 vehicles were issued summonses, with authorities targeting traffic and technical offences.
As reported by NST, Pahang road transport department (JPJ) deputy director Sallehuddin Mat Nasir said 215 vehicles were inspected during the operation, which ran from 5am to noon and involved 66 enforcement personnel from multiple agencies. He revealed 102 vehicles were taken action against, resulting in 126 summonses being issued under the P22 summons notice which is an order for inspection.
“Some of the offences detected included driving without a competent driving licence, expired road tax, lack of insurance coverage, failure to display learner or probationary driver plates, registration number offences and modified exhaust systems,” said Sallehuddin.
He added that 39 motorists were found driving without a competent driving licence, while 31 vehicles had expired road tax and 26 were operating without insurance coverage. Pahang JPJ also issued summonses to seven drivers for failing to display learner or probationary plates as well as five registration number offences. Other offences detected included modified exhausts and side mirror violations (four cases each), while one motorist was issued a summons for not wearing a seatbelt.
The operation also involved the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the Department of Environment (DOE) and the National Anti-Drugs Agency (NADA). Sallehuddin said PDRM issued 84 summonses during the operation, while the DOE inspected 26 vehicles and issued two compounds, and NADA screened 35 people, with two testing positive for drugs.

money can’t buy class
Let me guess.. Those Lamborghini 6.5L doesn’t have valid road tax..??
Thanks to the law enforcement for taking action against the offenders..
Kudos JPJ… was taking a short break at Awana, not waking up by birdsong but felt like on a F1 race track early in the morning…
From the looks of it, everytime we see a luxury car on the road, it’s safe to assume that 90% of the time it has no road tax, no insurance, and the license plate is either a law-breaking fancy plate or a false plate altogether. So much for being “status symbols”. These cars have become nothing more than scammer symbols.
it is safe to assume that the T15 are mostly lawbreaking criminal scum, remind me again why they should be entitled to subsidies?
