Overview
The Mazda CX-60 is a five-seat compact executive SUV, imported CBU from Japan and aimed at buyers who want a petrol Mazda above the CX-5 in size and positioning. In Malaysia, it starts from RM200,510 for the 2.5G 2WD High, with a stronger 3.3-litre mild-hybrid AWD variant above it.
For 2026, the CX-60 range grows beyond the original 2.5-litre Skyactiv-G petrol model launched in 2025. The new 3.3G M AWD High Plus adds a 3.3-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine with mild hybrid assistance, all-wheel drive and a higher RM252,872 price. The 2.5G 2WD High continues with an 8AT, rear-wheel drive, Bose speakers, Mazda Radar Cruise Control, AEB and 20-inch alloys.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers can start with the 2.5G 2WD High at RM200,510. It already gets the 2.5-litre petrol engine, automatic gearbox, rear-wheel drive, five seats and the key kit highlighted for the Malaysian car, including Bose speakers, MRCC, AEB and 20-inch alloys. Pay RM252,872 for the 3.3G M AWD High Plus if you specifically want the 280 hp 3.3-litre mild-hybrid inline-six and AWD. The RM52,362 gap buys the bigger engine and driven front axle.

The CX-60 is not the cheapest way into this class: the Zeekr 7X starts at RM179,800 and the Tesla Model Y at RM195,450, both below the Mazda’s entry price. But the Mazda answers with a CBU Japan five-seat SUV package, petrol power and, in 3.3G form, an inline-six mild hybrid that is unusual at this price point. The choice is clear: lower-cost 2.5 or much stronger 3.3 AWD.
