Which variant to buy

Most buyers should choose the RM123,800 Premium. Its RM14,000 step up from the RM109,800 Prime brings a 356 hp output instead of 313 hp, plus front massage seats under the CKD update. The RM129,800 Premium Plus costs another RM6,000 and has the same stated 356 hp, front-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid mechanical package. On paper, you are paying that extra sum for trim rather than mechanicals, so check the equipment list closely before committing.

Verdict

The eMas 7 PHEV has made a strong start, becoming Malaysia’s best-selling PHEV after 1,755 deliveries since launch by April. Its appeal rests on the option to use it as an EV for regular travel while retaining petrol power. That use case is real: half of owners charge and use it like an EV, while 17% run it on petrol without charging. Buyers need home or workplace charging to get the most from it.
