• CaltexGO app can now be used at Caltex stations nationwide – earn up to RM10 cashback until June 30

  Chevron Malaysia Limited (Chevron), the operator of retail brand Caltex, has announced that its CaltexGO app can now be used at participating Caltex stations nationwide. The app was first announced last April and was launched later in September, although it could only be used at stations located in the Klang Valley as part of a trial phase.

  Available for both Android and iOS devices, CaltexGO allows users to pay for fuel at Caltex stations through the app without having to physical visit the counter. Payment is done via credit or debit card and the app also provides e-receipts so users can access their transaction history.

  Additionally, users are able link their Journey loyalty card to earn BPoints with every fuel purchase, which can then be redeemed for future purchases. The app also notifies users of ongoing promotions from Caltex and their partners.

  

  

  
  

  

  

  “We have been keeping busy by developing and launching new products and promotions in an effort to innovate for the future, providing additional connectivity and mobility options for our customers. In September 2021, we piloted CaltexGO in Klang Valley, and we are now ready to roll out the app nationwide. With CaltexGO, motorists in Malaysia will enjoy additional benefits to refuel with speed and convenience,” said Jay Gomez, country chairman of Chevron.

CaltexGO is a tool for us to do just that, and its nationwide accessibility will now make it more convenient for more consumers to use,” added Toh Yu Lee, vice president of Asia Pacific sales for Chevron International Fuels & Lubricants.

  To celebrate the nationwide launch of CaltexGO, customers can enjoy a RM5 cashback when fuelling a minimum of RM30 with the app, which can be done twice for a maximum cashback of RM10 – this promotion ends on June 30, 2022, with the last day to redeem the cashback being July 31, 2022.

• CaltexGO mobile app officially launched in Klang Valley; expanded availability by first half of 2022

  Chevron Malaysia has now launched the CaltexGO mobile application for users in the Klang Valley region, following its initial introduction earlier in April this year. This offers motorists a quicker and easier way to pay for fuel, and earn and redeem loyalty points.

  While CaltexGO at launch has initially been made available only for the Klang Valley region, availability will extend to other parts of the country by the first half of next year, according to the company. The mobile app is supported on Apple iOS and Android OS devices, and is therefore available from the Apple App Store and Google Play.

  Chevron Malaysia has placed emphasis on safety, advising its customers to use the app on their mobile devices only after their vehicle’s engine has been switched off, inside an enclosed stationary vehicle or when inside the convenience store.

  To use, users will need a payment card (debit or credit card) and Journey card registered on the app, indicate the station and pump number, and then refuel their vehicle with the preferred amount. Alternatively, users may also check their BPoints balance and if there is sufficient remaining, redeem them for fuel before making payment for the final amount.

  There are offers on hand to encourage the take-up of the CaltexGO mobile app. For a limited time, first-time users who pump a minimum of RM30 of fuel at Caltex will receive RM5 cashback, and another RM5 cashback for the same RM30 minimum on a subsequent visit. This is limited to two visits per user for a maximum of RM10 cashback, and this promotion ends December 31, 2021.

• CaltexGO mobile app – pay for fuel, collect Journey Card loyalty points, review transactions from phone

  Caltex has joined the ranks of fuel retailers in Malaysia that offer a mobile-phone based method of paying for fuel through a mobile app, which is available for Android- and Apple iOS-based mobile phones through Google Play and the Apple App Store respectively.

  Once arrived at the Caltex station of one’s choice, the user will need to select and confirm the pump number at the station along with the preferred payment method. Payment is through credit card, which the app’s users will need to link to the CaltexGO app to enable direct payment when purchasing fuel. After refuelling, a detailed receipt of the transaction will appear on the app once payment is confirmed.

  The Caltex Journey loyalty points card can also be linked to the app in order for users to earn points with every fuel purchase (points will be processed within 48 hours of the transaction), and e-receipts can be viewed on the app to show the user their transaction history at any time.

  Users can also view ongoing special promotions through the CaltexGO app. According to the Locate a Station tab on the app, there are currently 456 Caltex stations in Peninsular Malaysia where CaltexGO can be used.
