Toyota FT-MV Concept

This looks very similiar to a Toyota Alphard with the latest in a series of Toyota grill designs slapped on, but it is actually the Toyota FT-MV concept that will make its appearance at the Tokyo Motor Show, opening for the press beginning tomorrow and for the general public later.

It is designed to fit 6 luxuriously, and the middle two seats have fully automatic ottomans, a kind of foot stool. It’s first class travel for those who need more space than what an E-segment luxury sedan can provide, similiar to the direction the Mercedes Benz R-Class took, which is also a 6-seater luxury MPV.

This info is from a pre-motorshow preview release so more details will be available tomorrow when the motorshow starts.

Exterior looks too fierce. Not appealing at all. Come to think of it….. looks very Transformer. Seems like more and more cars are getting to look TransformerISH. Anyone notice the trend?

i agree with that. box or bulky sort of car with big headlights. strong angle or curves. its kinda futuristic i think but as you said..its transformerISH. i guest simple cars of sexy curves and basic design cant be a suitable robot from Cybertron. sorry out of topic.

    ewww…

Trying to make a Van look good is just as painful as trying to watch a fat person do the twist……its not pretty.

    I like the interior though.

Most of us can admire the luxuries of this car only! but can’t afford to buy if available in our market! Seem our car market still “reserve” the luxury car to the highest echolon of the society only - the really filthy rich people.

The next gen Alphard. yes it is. Somehow I still wonder how on earth there are so many Alphard in KL even though it is almost RM300k..Maybe something in connection with yesterdays ACA report on acountability of some tender. :)

most of the alphards running around cost around 180-250k….300k ones are quite few but there are some…….amazingly even though recons at up to 1/4 mil doesnt deter ppl from buying it…….too many rich ppl in malaysia?

i think this is the design toyota should focus on for their corporate design on their models… instead of the dugong design for new altis, vios, camry etc… btw, i like the twin red lights illumination on the ceiling…

  25. leongylun said,

new alphard very obviously!!! i don’t see this concept car looks like Hiace la..come on. Yes, most Toyota Alphards on the road are recond and selling cheap. If u pay 160-180k, you probably can get one from Naza. if u wan to pay less, straightaway to view the recond cars at port where it is imported..
