Toyota FT-MV Concept

This looks very similiar to a Toyota Alphard with the latest in a series of Toyota grill designs slapped on, but it is actually the Toyota FT-MV concept that will make its appearance at the Tokyo Motor Show, opening for the press beginning tomorrow and for the general public later.
It is designed to fit 6 luxuriously, and the middle two seats have fully automatic ottomans, a kind of foot stool. It’s first class travel for those who need more space than what an E-segment luxury sedan can provide, similiar to the direction the Mercedes Benz R-Class took, which is also a 6-seater luxury MPV.
This info is from a pre-motorshow preview release so more details will be available tomorrow when the motorshow starts.

Exterior looks too fierce. Not appealing at all. Come to think of it….. looks very Transformer. Seems like more and more cars are getting to look TransformerISH. Anyone notice the trend?
October 23, 2007 @ 11:52 pm
i agree with that. box or bulky sort of car with big headlights. strong angle or curves. its kinda futuristic i think but as you said..its transformerISH. i guest simple cars of sexy curves and basic design cant be a suitable robot from Cybertron. sorry out of topic.

ewww…
Trying to make a Van look good is just as painful as trying to watch a fat person do the twist……its not pretty.
I like the interior though.
October 24, 2007 @ 12:26 am
Interior is awesome. I love it, especially the top lights, very nice touch, maybe i should do something like that in my car..lol.

Most of us can admire the luxuries of this car only! but can’t afford to buy if available in our market! Seem our car market still “reserve” the luxury car to the highest echolon of the society only - the really filthy rich people.

When you have to much kids and too old to drive around you may want to consider letting your kids chauffeur you around in that

The next gen Alphard. yes it is. Somehow I still wonder how on earth there are so many Alphard in KL even though it is almost RM300k..Maybe something in connection with yesterdays ACA report on acountability of some tender.
October 24, 2007 @ 7:21 am
most of the alphards running around cost around 180-250k….300k ones are quite few but there are some…….amazingly even though recons at up to 1/4 mil doesnt deter ppl from buying it…….too many rich ppl in malaysia?
October 24, 2007 @ 7:32 am
with the duty penalty (thanks to the government..); it will be a moving house (without toilet)
October 24, 2007 @ 7:54 am

October 24, 2007 @ 7:55 am
I guess if someone was crazy enuf to put a couple of OSIM iMedics into a toyota Hi-Ace and spice up the interior, one would get close to “copying” this LOL

90% of the alphards on the roads are recon second hand units costing only about 55%-70% of its original price.
October 24, 2007 @ 2:22 pm
This is definitely a new Alphard. Awesome!
October 24, 2007 @ 3:02 pm
should be rebadged as Lexus.
Look likes new Hiace (with steroid)..Heheh!
October 24, 2007 @ 4:47 pm
i think this is the design toyota should focus on for their corporate design on their models… instead of the dugong design for new altis, vios, camry etc… btw, i like the twin red lights illumination on the ceiling…
October 24, 2007 @ 4:47 pm
good…new alphard coming
October 24, 2007 @ 4:47 pm
new alphard very obviously!!! i don’t see this concept car looks like Hiace la..come on. Yes, most Toyota Alphards on the road are recond and selling cheap. If u pay 160-180k, you probably can get one from Naza. if u wan to pay less, straightaway to view the recond cars at port where it is imported..
October 24, 2007 @ 6:30 pm
wow, awesome. I want, I want……..
October 24, 2007 @ 8:18 pm
big cars will only have a certain design , can’t run anywhere especially its a toyota .
October 24, 2007 @ 9:28 pm
good…they enhance the rear look…looks better…quite tough rite now for the elysion…
October 25, 2007 @ 8:17 am
Gorgeous… but the rear maybe a lil too over… but then again it’s a concept, it’s meant to be over… hehe
October 25, 2007 @ 4:34 pm
oh momma!!! i want this in my garage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
November 26, 2007 @ 4:42 pm

in indonesia, alphard are very common. especially the selebrities… how come all high-class selebrity use alphard? it must be a prestige. they’re more choose alphard than mercy or bmw….
