The Hyundai Veracruz will be making its European market debut in the form of the Hyundai ix55. The Hyundai ix55 is essentially a Veracruz with styling and other changes to suit the European market. It will be displayed at the upcoming 2008 Paris Motor Show and further details will be released then.
In the US, the 7-seater Veracruz is offered with either a 3.8 litre V6 or a 3.0 litre turbodiesel engine. It’s a no brainer which engine will be more popular in Europe.

Oh no it wont.
As good as the Veracruz is the only benefit over the RX330 is the 7 seating. (they also have a Veracruz with 5 seats and a hugh boot) and the price advantage where it is sold. One is marketed in the premium market (which comes with premium service) the other is for everyday joes.
Both aimed at different markets, a buying looking for a RX330 is probably not going to cross shop with a Veracruz, perhaps maybe with Infiniti’s on FX range.
even if this car comes to malaysia, it would be an inokom…
its definitely not a bad car, but its just like any other korean suv.. what does it actually have that makes it a “great car”.. big words for sure, but great it definitely is not.
and personally, even if did come in as an inokom, it will be good for consumers, as the price will be lower for what is basically the same car, just different badging.
