Geneva 2009: Gumpert Apollo Speed debuts

With a biturbo V8 fitted with light metal cylinder heads with 5 valves per cylinder, four overhead camshafts, hydraulic valve clearance compensation, double-flow exhaust system with three-way catalytic converter and dry sump lubrication, this outrageous looking sports car is able to propel to the 100 km/h mark in just 3.0 seconds, 200 km/h in 8.9 seconds and is able to reach a top speed of 360 km/h.

The rear wheel drive Gumpert Apollo Speed is able produce such performance figures thanks to the 700HP V8 that is also capable of 875Nm of torque. The power plant is also mated to a 6 speed sequential with a twin plate clutch configuration. With a dry weight figure of 1,200 kilograms, it measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, 1,105 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.

On the inside, buyers can select either leather or Alcantara treatment and it features air conditioning, a DVD moniceiver, removable steering wheel for easy access and egress, 4 point seat belt and so on.

    Seriously, I mean its not as tame looking like enzo, 599 , f430, or 911 and other metro lookers, but its got that i dont care "Who the f*ck!!!" you are look!!. Its like leonidas from the 300 movie , you know the beard , ripped abs and all testosterone male gens. He's not as pretty as Orlando bloom or Brad pit from the fairy tale movie troy but he would have kicked their girlie asses all the way to greece if they were in his century.

    That's why i like the the gumbert …with its radical low front air scoop and aero design, its flexing its muscle and posing its abs at the Italian marques. Its telling them "No I'm gay like you…"
