The hot sun and walking from one photography point to another (no cutting through the track, only way around is the perimeter) means that drift events are quite demanding on the reporter cum photographer, but the great sideways action on show and the pretty ladies always make up for it.
As promised, here’s a photo gallery of the Goodyear International Drift Series held at Precinct 3 behind the Palace of Justice Putrajaya over the weekend. In this first of three rounds for 2010, New Zealand’s Fanga Dan beat Malaysian Ivan Lim in the final showdown to claim top spot. Ser Ming Hui, more popularly known as Ah Fai, was third. 31 drifters took part, including the top guns of the local sideways community and talent from Singapore, Indonesia and New Zealand.
