Kia is set to unveil its latest concept, a four-door sports sedan, at the IAA in Frankfurt next month. The company hasn’t revealed much about the vehicle – not even a name – aside from saying that the four-seater has rear-wheel drive and its styling signals a distinctive new design direction for the brand.
So goes its chief design officer, Peter Schreyer. “No matter from which perspective you look at it – this concept car is roaring with energy and ready for take-off. I believe the car is a strong statement from Kia: we are ready to fast forward to an all-new chapter.” More about the car when the time comes, undoubtedly.

design this good…i couldn’t imagine anyone wanting but anything from honda and toyota…against the new civic…this kick civic ass any day…
comparing a sport sedan with civic?and this is jz a preview of a concept, may take years to make it to production
from side view, i see aston martin that mix with camaro…
yea.. the front look like Aston One-77 a bit..
What la Peter Shreyer. Your design cues for Kia are cool enough. No need to ciplak any cues from other manufacturers, especially Aston Martin!
Quite sure the front fascia is adapted from their brother Hyundai Veloster. No idea who pattern it first though.
aston martin….
wow…just wow
KIA is really gunning for the global market with their designs!
but can it really deliver? KIA is not known for it engines and performance
still the design reminds me of camaro + skyline GTR R35
Look like Aston Martin ALL THE WAY!
This Aston Martiny.. haha
Lamborghini Estoque-ish, anyone?
aston martin one-77 front.those who disagree are prolly blind fanboys
agree. more a like aston one-77
agree.. Aston Martin One-77 front with camaro like side..
Astom Martin One77 lookalike bumper….
Don’t forget the Citroen DS3 style front side vents too. :-)
looks good
but it looks more aston martin than kia
kia’s current design language is at its best
just saying..
it looks good. now wouldn’t you want a kia that looks a bit like an aston? imagine this, korean pricing but international design. but as it is still a concept, the final design can be tweaked by the designers to be less aston-ish depending on feedback.
paint it red and you will get Ferrari FF..
Looks awesome , a throwback to japanese 50’s-70’s sports cars, Im loving those fender mounted side mirrors, awesome design, production could potentially be an instant classic
WOW
look abit like proton saga !
hope they come out it fast in market.. after that they will keep inside warehouse become antics.. haha…damn ugly car… worst than saga
hope they come out it fast in market.. after that they will keep inside warehouse become antics.. haha…very ugly car… worst than saga
Kia Martin for Kimchee Bond 0.07 :-)
How original ! Even concept car are copied !
Peter has lost his last bit of pride after joining CCCC (Copy Cat Car Company).
Looks like Datsun 240z
Wow…price it just a bit higher than forte koupe…sure selling like hot cakes
Front bumpers looks really Aston Martin-ish especially with the front vents. The grille although with the Kia international look has Aston Martin’s looks too. But what’s not to like. We all know Aston Martin has one of the most beautiful cars of today. If it were a child, I bet tonnes of people would wanna look like Aston Martin. Nothing wrong since they didn’t copy it 100%. Design cues and inspirations from Aston Martin is a smart move. :)
Personally I think the Schreyer magic didn’t work here. The corporate grill looks forced, and it doesn’t have that Nouveau-Kia presence like the Optima or the Sportage. I liked the front of the Kia Ray concept better (different audience, but same shape).
That being said, Schreyer’s been excited about a sports concept for Kia ever since he first came up with the Tiger Grille, so I hope things work out for him.
dah name pun konsep, kene la ade certain cues from other manufacturers.
the final design must be different.
Cantiq, and
better than the ghost-like look of new GS.
(GS does not look like Ghost)
nice.
Looks great, but it looks too much of an Aston Martin or a Maserati Quattroporte with granturismo front. Anyways, its still a concept car, not an end product.
eye pain… LOL
I see an Aston Martin wannabe. LOL
hmm if the badge here is T/H sure will get serious bashing lol….
Without a doulb Copying Aston Martin One77.
Peter Schreyer have said he want KIA to made a Roadster, now i understand that he is continuing the Legacy of KIA Elan (Copy version of Lotus Elan).
Where r all those KIA fanboy ? To shame to comment ?
First thing my wife said after seeing that… “wow..that looks like a mustang” (specifically the ’72 mach 1).
I would blame KIA for over squeezed Peter Schreyer, untill he is stressed up & out of fresh ideas, during the 13 years his in Audi (VW) he designed 6 cars, but 5 years in KIA he pushed out 9 cars, to ensured deadline r meet, so how else but copy & pasted (that why u can see the tiger nose simpky don’t fit into the Aston Martin One 77 inspired front).
Perhaps KIA try to maximised their investment on him during his contract tenure.
Mask ryder wat shame u talkin about? Only true car lovers can see the uniqueness n musculine line showing here. Another great design from kia, tks to schreyer!
Mentari O Korea, i wouldn’t blame u on 1988 olympic era tastebud since ur name suggest it.
I would strongly advice u to look for Aston Martin One77 image b4 comment.
I wouldn’t mind if this is a works of some amateur, but we r talking about Peter Schreyer the man who designed Audi TT & New VW Beatles, although since he move to KIA his design has been copying Audi & VW here n there to create Cheap priced KIA car, but come on lah ! at lease not to the extend of copying 2 years old Aston Martin One77 & fit in that so called tiger nose.
