Jaguar is definitely playing up the arrival of its latest cat, which is due to arrive on the scene next month. The automaker has roped in singer songwriter Lana Del Rey to collaborate on the launch of its new F-Type, which will make its debut in Paris.
The choice of going with Del Rey is based on the mix of tradition and new, something that’s reflected in her music as well as in the upcoming two-seater, the company says.
“The allure of Jaguar is in large part due to its duality – a unique blend of authenticity and modernity, two values that we believe are shared with Lana in her professional achievements,” so goes Jaguar’s global brand director, Adrian Hallmark.
The details of the collaboration, and just how Del Rey is going to promote the convertible, hasn’t been disclosed. Guess we’ll all find out when the time comes to unveil the rear-wheel drive offering, which itself remains masked by camo. We do know that 340 PS and 380 PS versions of the supercharged V6, as well as a new derivative of its existing supercharged 5.0 litre V8, will be available for the new cat.
