VIDEO: The Jaguar F-Type’s sporting nature

Here are some videos from Jaguar, showing you the idea and philosophy behind the design of Coventry’s latest sports car. Engineer Ian Hoban talks briefly about the athleticism and driver-focusedness in the teaser above, over some nice shots of the F-Type strutting its stuff on a test track. He also mentions ‘torque-to-weight ratio.’ That’s something you don’t hear every day; it must be one seriously-developed machine.

Blimey, what a roar. For some aural therapy, check out the video below on the new 3.0 litre supercharged V6.

We know the F-Type will be in attendance at the Paris Motor Show in September, and that 340 PS and 380 PS versions of the supercharged V6, as well as a new derivative of its existing supercharged 5.0 litre V8, will be available.

While most dream of the future, Jonathan Tan dreams of the past, although he's never been there. Fantasises much too often about cruising down Treacher Road (Jalan Sultan Ismail) in a Triumph Stag that actually works, and hopes this stint here will snap him back to present reality.

love the 2nd video. the growl of the engine at the beginning and end (especially the end one) reminds me of a jaguar growling!!!! and the music makes the engine feel high-tech!
