Yes, the Aston Martin Virage is going out, as soon as it came in. It’s only been on the market for 18 months, but it’s sold only 1,000 examples so far, and Aston has had to pull the plug. The new DB9 will fill the void left by the Virage, but not before it moves slightly upmarket for the role. It has to be careful not to invade the upcoming Vanquish’s space, though.
When the Virage came on to the scene we did think it sat within a gap that was too small, between the DB9 and the DBS (DB9 470 hp; Virage 490 hp; DBS 510 hp). The fact that it was difficult to tell it apart from the DB9 was another thing. The DBS is set to be replaced by the Vanquish later this year.
All is not in vain, for we can see the Virage possibly becoming a collectable in the near future.

That is main problem with Aston Martin. Even though all their cars are beautiful, they all look too similar. Its so hard to tell them apart. Only the super limited One-77 is recognizable. Hopefully the new DB9 will look more different from the previous one.
I was about to say that. Agreed 100%. Aston should learn from its competitors like Porsche and Lamborghini. People can differentiate between a Boxter and a 911, yet both are unmistakably Porsche. The same goes for Lamborghini. The Aventador and Gallardo looks different but they still carry the trademark Lamborghini ‘edgy’ theme.
Cantiq. Imagine if Aston Martin can be sold at a reasonable price of RM380OOO in Malaysia, so we should …….
