Toyota GT86 Blanco special edition unveiled in the UK

The Toyota GT86 Blanco special edition has been revealed for the UK market – no “body in white” jokes, please. Set to go on sale from the month of July, the special edition model will sit at the top of the range and is set to carry a price tag of £28,500 (RM168,770). Deliveries are expected to commence in the month of August.

Prospective customers hoping for more power will be disappointed to know that upgrades on the Toyota GT86 Blanco will be limited to just aesthetic ones. True to its name, the GT86 Blanco comes coated in a GT White Pearl scheme, offset by grey-red red graphics scattered across its entire body from the front bumper to the roof. Elsewhere, 18-inch alloy wheels with an anthracite finish and ‘GT86’ markings are included.

On the inside, full leather upholstery gets included this time round while the front sports seats have heating capabilities. An individually-numbered plaque is also featured on the centre console although Toyota has failed to specify the exact number of GT86 Blanco units that it plans to sell.

Additional options will include a nine-speaker JBL sound system and Toyota’s Touch and Go touchscreen infotainment system with navigation – because charging extra for options on a range-topping special edition model makes perfect sense. As mentioned earlier, the GT86 Blanco comes powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.0 litre flat-four engine producing 200 hp/205 Nm mated to either a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

  • RM168,770 is not the price, when it reaches Malaysia. 300 percent import tax + 6 Percent GST. its around Rm 250000.
