The Mercedes-AMG C 63 Coupe Edition 1 has been unveiled, ahead of its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This limited-run market launch special features visual add-ons that are inspired by Mercedes-AMG’s 2016 DTM challenger.
Available only on the range-topping C 63 S model is this exclusive colour combination of designo Magno Selenite Grey with yellow highlights. The blacked-out five double-spoke AMG Performance wheels (19-inch front, 20-inch rear) hide carbon-ceramic brakes.
A more restrained Edition 1 variant is also available. This one can be had in any exterior paint, while the sports stripes are done in matte graphite grey, paired with the standard cross-spoke wheel design. The carbon brakes are optional for this toned-down variant.
For both variants, the AMG Aerodynamics Package comes standard, which adds a large front spoiler, deeper side skirts, and a more aggressive diffuser round the back. The AMG Night Package is thrown in too – spot the gloss back details all around the car.
Inside, you get Nappa leather AMG Performance seats and Dinamica microfibre AMG Performance steering wheel. Yellow contrast stitching and highlights adorn the interior as well, including the instrument cluster and the AMG-specific IWC analogue clock.
The C 63 Coupe is powered by a 4.0 litre V8 biturbo engine with two engine outputs, either 476 hp and 650 Nm for the “standard” model or 510 hp and 700 Nm for the C63 S Coupe. The more powerful variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, while the base model is slower by just 0.1 seconds.

Day by day Mercedes- AMG built more and more capable cars. Who knows the once “timid” luxury tuning arm will be a more hardcore firm like what it was originally did during Aufrecht and Melcher times. C63S will definitely be my wishlist. Oh, I hope that next E63S 4matic to offered in RHD.
