ABT-Audi-RS3-Main

Nothing is ever enough for the tuners, where power is like a drug. It was only in September that famous VW Group tuners ABT boosted the Audi RS3 to 430 hp and 530 Nm; now a version with 443 hp and 550 Nm of torque is ready and set to debut at the upcoming Essen Motor Show.

The 443 hp and 550 Nm is courtesy of a specially developed ABT engine control unit, a larger intercooler and an optional exhaust with quad pipes, measuring 102 mm in diameter.

Bear in mind that the standard RS3 isn’t exactly a weakling desperate for a boost, with 367 hp and 465 Nm from a 2.5 litre five-cylinder engine. It does 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds stock. Audi’s super hatch also beats the pre-facelift Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG‘s output of 360 PS/450 Nm. The Merc’s 2015 facelift goes one up to 381 hp and 475 Nm. Madness.

ABT’s RS3 wears a matte red paint job with pearlescent finish, contrasted by a black panel on the rear hatch and carbon-look details. The five-door Sportback’s ride height is lower by 30 mm at the front and 25 mm at the rear thanks to new springs, while a set of 19-inch forged wheels wrapped in 235/35 Continental tyres complete the exterior changes.

The interior is rich in Alcantara, and the “racy” material covers the whole dashboard and door panels. ABT-badged silver carbon trim are also found here. Check out the sexy front seat backs.
