Lamborghini Centenario video preview

This year, Lamborghini celebrates the centenary since company founder Ferruccio was born, with the Centenario. The limited-number hypercar will make its debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show but before that, Lamborghini has dropped this video to get the hype train rolling along further.
In the video, we see Lamborghini’s heritage with its previous limited-edition models, leading up to the soon-to-be-revealed Centenario. Along the way, the word “perfection” is used sparingly, accompanied by music to get you pumped up.
The car seen in the video appears to match up to patent images that were leaked earlier. Details such as the large diffuser and three exhaust tips appear pretty consistent. Expect carbon-fibre to be featured extensively in the car’s construction as well.
The Centenario shown sports a dark grey and black paintjob, with yellow accents on various parts of the car, including the roof line, front splitter and side skirts. Though it is based on the company’s flagship Aventador, the Centenario gets a more aggressive hood design and new side vents to feed the V12.
Speaking of the V12, the 6.5 litre naturally-aspirated unit has been bumped up in terms of power from 700 PS to a rumoured 770 PS. Other suggested performance figures include a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 2.7 seconds, and a top speed of 349 km/h. We’ll have to wait for Sant’Agata Bolognese to confirm these figures though.
Nonetheless, Lamborghini says, “nothing runs faster than this,” suggesting that this will be the quickest bull the Italian carmaker has ever made. Interested? Well, there’s some bad news. Aside from an estimated price tag starting from the USD$2.38 million mark (nearly RM10 mil), all examples of the car (20 coupes and 20 convertibles), have been accounted for.
