Suzuki began its rise back in the 70s and early 80s with a series of bullet-proof inline-four cylinder air-cooled naked sportbikes, referred to as Universal Japanese Machines, or UJMs. Today, the UJM gets a rebirth with the announcement of the Suzuki GSX-S750 and GSX-750Z naked sports bikes.
In the engine room lies a 749 cc, liquid-cooled DOHC four-cylinder power plant that is fed by EFI and Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) bodies. The engine is descended from Suzuki’s legendary K5 mill, and is tuned to give more mid-range torque.
Switchable four-mode Suzuki Advanced Traction Control is standard, with modes able to be changed on the fly. Mode one has minimal intervention and caters for fast riding on good surfaces, with modes two and three set for normal city riding and wet roads, respectively. Mode four turns traction control off for racetrack use.
Braking is done by Nissin with a pair of Monobloc calipers squeezing 310 mm wavy-style discs in front. The front suspension is an upside-down KYB fork adjustable for spring pre-load, while the rear absorber has seven-way adjustable pre-load.
There are two model options available, the 2018 Suzuki GSX-S750 and the GSX-S750Z with ABS. Colour options are Metallic Triton Blue, Glass Sparkle Black or Pearl Mira Red for the GSX-S750, while the Z model only comes in Metallic Matte Black.
