Lewis Hamilton, three-time Formula One World Champion (and soon be a four-time winner at the rate Ferrari are performing), will appear as the mentor and Maestro in the Gran Turismo Sport video game.
That’s right, the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team driver will reveal his driving philosophy, techniques, and his way of life through driving images and interviews for the players. With his driving footage, theories and episodes, the Maestro will lead and guide players who strive to be just as fast and strong as the man himself.
“I have been playing Gran Turismo since I was a child, so to actually be part of the gameplay design has been an incredible experience,” said Hamilton, who also stars in the Lewis Hamilton and Gran Turismo Sport – Introduction short film.
“From watching Lewis drive on TV all these years, I had an idea of how he might drive, but the experience of watching him drive in person was well beyond my wildest expectations. And I’m really glad to be able to share his driving philosophy with all Gran Turismo players,” added Kazunori Yamauchi, Gran Turismo series producer.
