The Volkswagen Polo is now available in a new Comfortline Vienna variant, which retails at RM76,228 on-the-road without insurance. This represents a RM3,000 premium compared to the Comfortline, with most of it being seen on the inside.
As the name suggests, the new variant gets ‘Vienna’ leather seats instead of the ‘Livon’ fabric units found in the Comfortline. Along with the enhanced upholstery, the car also comes with window tint by VW Tint.
Beyond those items, the rest of the equipment sheet is identical to the standard Comfortline, with a single-zone Climatronic climate control system, R340G head unit with App-Connect, halogen headlamps and 15-inch ‘Riverside’ alloy wheels.
The engine remains the same too, with the 1.6 litre naturally-aspirated MPI four-pot continuing to output 105 PS at 5,250 rpm and 153 Nm of torque at 3,800 rpm. Drive goes to the front wheels via an Aisin six-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic.

I know looks are subjective but, everything about this car is so boring and uninspired.
Vios way more exciting than this
In Europe all cars are by law to have ESC. This law has been around 15 years already.
I dont know why VW AG Germany got no respect for Asians and Malaysians. In overseas, you give ESC but in Malaysia, you take out ESC.
No respect for Malaysian lives
looks budget to me… and the 1.6 is super underpowered. even a honda city NA can beat it flat.
bull crap! i have a polo 1.6 and have tested it against the current city and it does not beat the Polo flat. the spec sheets tell the same thing. the polo has slightly better torque (8Nm/5.9lb), is lighter by 64 to 92kgs (depending on City trim level), and has 6 forward ratios (torque converter, not sappy CVT)
Buying VW cars you must get the Trendline model. The cars looked more upmarket and carry more features.
You mean jepunis cars are more inspiring? Duh
Can’t VW spend the 3k to install ESC rather than cosmetics?
Not bad…will last long time too..
it’s 2018 already & this polo still dun have ESC, lel
VW means pipu’s car. Deswai
It’s getting long in the tooth.
You will not miss the Vienna leather seats when you are parked under a hot afternoon sun.
Save the RM3,000 & use it for petrol instead. Just buy the Comfortline which is good enuff for most M’sian.
VW… with all the sepecial edition.. limited edition…you should just allowing customise VW car.. senang and end story! Every month came up with different spec.. different price drop, discount packages…That’s not happen to un-popular car!
I really wish for the GTI model, VW can bring the manual Polo
Still 2 airbags…
Possibly the only car option worse than a Myvi/Saga. It takes a lot of sheer determination to create a car this insipid, boring and dead inside.
its 2018 and it comes with halogen headlamps and boring rims. wake up VW. OMG!!!
It’s time for an All New model.. Come on Volkswagen….
There is. The Virtus. And it’s awesome. Look it up. They’re just not bringing it into our market yet.
Bro DK! Where have u been?
Jakarta
Busy with some Malaysia Baru gravy train projects :D :D Thanks for voting in a new govt guys.. backdoors are fully wide open now..
What the…..
Leather seats? That’s it??
Is this a joke? Where is the new gen 2018 Polo that the rest of the world is getting? VW Malaysia, get your act together, this thing belongs in a museum now, not a showroom.
Too many unsold stock lor, being scorched under sun at stockyard is bad for paint and car
Instead of putting cosmetics on this polo mk5 just bring in the new polo mk6 la…. lame
Bring back the Polo TSI!
Hey VW Malaysia ! wake-up lah … why you guys only know to bring in the low range model but not the higher end model ? You VW Malaysia making yourself looks vey “LOW CLASSS” , still using halogen head lamp ?? come-on lah .. even the new Myvi is using LED head lamp these days lah !
Classiest car ever made. Bought it and u gotta love it instead of mostly sushis ‘kecoh’ or simply ‘x siap’ car design. Lol!
I m driving one so I can say that this car is actually quite nice for a city car. Basic, simple and a driver’s car. The MPI engine and the transmission are quite good and reliable, tho ofc not breathtaking. All 4 power windows are real convenient. Bought new, haven’t got any problem other than a burnt bulb in 4 years.
If u are afraid of the TSI and DSG but want to have a taste of German tech, this entry level car can be ur choice (if you are looking for a car of such segment). But ofc owning a continental has its price, so can’t expect the maintenance fee to be comparable with the Japs.
