Purchasers of new Honda motorcycles in UK will receive a free Datatool motorcycle tracking system from Honda Motorcycles UK, reports Motorcycle News. The tracking system, which provides motorcycle location tracking and theft notification, will be available on all Honda motorcycles sold after July.
Called the TrakKING adventure system, installation is free of charge by Honda but users have to pay a subscription fee of 10 pounds sterling (RM53) per month. The system itself retails for 349 pounds sterling (RM1,865) and also gives users a trip history.
Owners can check the status and trip history of their motorcycle via a smartphone app. “This ground-breaking safety and security initiative is a long-term Honda commitment to ensuring peace of mind for riders of Honda’s on-road range,” said Neil Fletcher, Head of Motorcycles at Honda UK.

Isnt vehicle tracking mandatory there for insurance purpose?
Not all vehicles have it in the the UK but most do, especially in high risk areas, to enjoy lower insurance premiums.
Thanks for the info Mohan sir. I remembered this cuz my unker told me that its near universally installed otherwise the insurers wun insure and hence the car cant be registered. Moreso for motors where its easier to steal.
where got mandatory? You think everyone got money to install this?
usual fake news. It is not mandatory in the UK
Look at reply by Mohan sir above, noob. The higher premiums makes it de facto mandatory.
Most insurers subsidise the installation and the lower premiums makes it worth installing. We are not talking about a few quids here, more like a couple hundred pounds diff.
