The zero rating of the goods and services tax (GST) has brought substantial savings for car buyers during this tax holiday period, and the latest company to join the fray is Ford. Sime Darby Auto Connexion’s Seize the Deal campaign is offering discounts of up to 17%, which combined with the abolishment of the six-percent GST results in savings of more than 20%.
This figure is for the Fiesta 1.5L hatchback, which is now up to RM20,300 cheaper, priced from RM68,401. The Ranger, on the other hand, gets a rebate of up to 11%, which translates to a total saving of up to RM19,830. Available in 10 variants, including the Wildtrak, FX4, XLT, XL and Standard, the pick-up truck is now priced from RM70,910.
Last but not least is the Mustang, available in 2.3 litre EcoBoost and 5.0 litre V8 GT versions. The pony car receives a rebate of up to 13% for a total saving of up to RM113,000, dropping the starting price to RM396,271. You get a three-year, unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty, and if that’s not enough, you also get a five-year free maintenance package on top of that.
The offer is only available for a limited time, with cars having to be registered by August 31, 2018 (i.e. before the sales and service tax is reintroduced on September 1). For more information, visit the official SDAC Ford website.

Only Ford that sells in Malaysia is the Ranger. That saved SDAC because all other models have ZERO sales. Nobody buys Fiesta, Focus etc anymore. Might as well just drop all other models and just sell Ranger
Accompany my friend, he interested in the 2.3 mustang, pj Ford, seems they only interested in selling ranger, no car to view, price discount is not this year car. Sales person need to dig to get the mustang price. Why sell car when don’t even have car to view, not to mention test drive. The next day he book the a45. Crap Ford.
