It looks like Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is set to launch the all-new W177 A-Class soon, according to a posting on the company’s official Facebook page. The posting doesn’t outright tease the compact model’s arrival, but merely points towards the Urban Hunting Festival that will take place on October 19.

Should you click on the attached link on the post, you’ll be directed to a site with instructions on how to enter a contest to win invites to the event. Near the top of the site is where it is clearly written: “Star-studded event, headlined by the new A-Class,” which is as clear of a clue as far as we’re concerned.

If that isn’t enough, scroll a little further down and you’ll see photos of the new A-Class’ interior with the prominent widescreen cockpit. The new dash layout is just one aspect of the W177, with others being a sharper exterior design, new technologies (including the MBUX interface) and revised dimensions.

Earlier this year, we were told that the launch of the A-Class would be delayed to end-2018 but it looks like plan has been revised. For now, detailed information about the available variants and specifications of the A-Class have yet to surface. An ad posted on in March points towards a rather A200 Progressive Line being one of the offerings at RM221k, but like all things speculative, you have to take it with a pinch of salt.

So, not too long before October 19, when the new A-Class makes its supposed debut at the Urban Hunting Festival. If you’re interested in the event, you can head on over to the aforementioned site linked here. Oh, DJ R3HAB, Hoobastank, Taboo and Apl.De.Ap from Black Eyed Peas are just some of the musical acts performing then. We’ll focus on the car first and foremost.
