2019 Triumph Thruxton TFC launched – from RM88,868

Not content to rest on its laurels with its currently popular Modern Classics range of parallel-twins, Triumph Motorcycles has come up with the 2019 Triumph Thruxton TFC – TFC standing for Triumph Factory Custom. Coming straight from the factory in Hinckley, Triumph has taken a Thruxton R and dressed it up in black paintwork with gold pinstriping.

The engine, Triumph 1,200 cc parallel-twin High Torque mill, is blacked out for the TFC edition and pumps out 106 hp which is 10 hp more than the standard Thruxton. For the limited edition TFC – of which only 750 will be made – carbon-fibre bodywork and aluminium engine rail upgrades reduce weight by 10 kg.

Paintwork on the Thruxton TFC is a deep satin black with satin gold knee inserts on the tank. The gold pinstriping on the cowl, fuel tank and rear seat cover is hand-applied in the Hinckley works.

Aside from the standard equipment on the base Thruxton R such as Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes, the Thruxton TFC comes with a special tank badge and edition plate on the triple clamp. A special owner’s handover kit is also provided along with standard fitment Vance and Hines exhaust.

According to Triumph, the Thruxton TFC will appear for this model year only, and never be repeated. Orders are being taken for the 2019 Triumph Thruxton TFC with pricing beginning from 21,500 USD (RM88,868).
