The Volkswagen T-Roc range has been enhanced with the addition of a new 2.0 litre four-cylinder TDI turbodiesel engine in Europe, making 190 PS and 400 Nm of torque. That’s as much torque as what the range-topping T-Roc R makes, although how quickly the new TDI variant will make the century sprint remains unknown for now. Other driveline components include a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive system.

Also making its debut is the Black Style design package, which as the name implies, blacks out many exterior components such as side mirror caps, side trims, bottom radiator strip, 18-inch twin-five spoke Grange Hill alloys, and a special new foil on the C-pillars with grey and black graphic pattern.

In the cabin, the Black Style package comes with black headliner and gloss black dash pad. In Germany, the design package can be added on for 1,235 euros (RM5,667), or 1,575 euros (RM7,227) with the Style equipment line.

Other optional upgrades include the blacked-out 19-inch Suzuka alloy wheels, as well as the new “beats” package with red highlights for the exterior and interior. At the core of this is the 300-watt, six-speaker system with an eight-channel digital amplifier and subwoofer. Bundled with it is the Composition Media infotainment system with App-Connect.

The “beats” adds sills panel trims with “beats” lettering, a red dash pad and red background lighting, red exterior mirror housings, unique C-pillars graphic, as well as 17-inch Mayfield alloy wheels with a red edge around the centre caps. This package costs an extra 720 euros (RM3,300) for the optional Style equipment line and 850 euros (RM3,900) for the Sport equipment line. In Germany, the T-Roc 2.0 TDI is priced from 35,105 euros (RM161k).
