Top 20 cars in Feb 2025 – Perodua Bezza back on top, Proton X50 behind Honda HR-V, S70 beaten by Civic!

We now have the list of the top 20 best-selling car models in Malaysia for the month of February 2025, thanks to the JPJ registration data now available online. Surprise, surprise, the Perodua Bezza is back on top (9,712 units), after finishing a rare second behind the Axia in the previous month.

In fact, the Axia (7,096) has fallen from first to third, ending up right behind the Myvi (7,126). The fact that the top two models are currently Perodua’s two oldest models is rather funny, until you notice that the Proton Saga, which dates back to 2005 in its current form, is still going strong in fourth position (5,012).

Honda appears to have a massive resurgence in February, with the City (both sedan and hatchback), HR-V and Civic all doubling their delivery numbers. The City (2,767) now sits above the Toyota Vios (2,064), while more remarkably the HR-V (1,839) outsold the Proton X50 (1,814), and the Civic (1,248) beat the S70 (1,172). However, the CR-V (788) still lost out to the Jaecoo J7 (873), which is the only Chinese-brand model in the list.

The Toyota Alphard – star of January’s sales table when it outsold far more affordable cars like the Proton Persona and S70 – falls right to the bottom of the table with 742 units registered in February (including grey imports). Meanwhile, the Hilux (1,677) is still going strong as both the only pick-up truck and diesel-powered vehicle in the list.

Too affordable anymore with a legit employment payslip can easily buy cheap unsafe car then illegally parking at roadside, unable to repay hp loan can mow down repossession tow truck driver or even light it with fyer. Lastly when broke should resentment demand create accout 5 epf for yearly withdrawal during major festivities KEK

If we take the Bezza and Saga in comparison,Perodua outsell proton by double. So P1 is forever playing bridesmaid to P2,even after a huge tax payers funded bailout.

yup, geely’s half-hearted effort and incompetent management of proton is screwing up the brand – the products are boring, the marketing is non-existent, honestly, geely has been utterly irresponsible in managing proton …
