Eyeing the Peugeot 408? Stellantis Malaysia is currently holding a promotion in collaboration with Public Bank, allowing you to purchase the crossover “coupé” with interest rates as low as 0.83% per annum from now until April 30.
This exceedingly low rate is applicable to the mid-spec 408 Premium variant with a 90% loan and a 60-month (five-year) tenure. The interest rate for the range-topping 408 GT is slightly higher at 1.01% with the same financing conditions.
With this offer, you can expect significant savings once everything shakes out. Launched last April, the 408 is priced at RM166,055 for the Premium model and RM196,055 for the GT. Both models get a distinctive exterior design with full-LED claw-like lighting and a sloping fastback-style rear windscreen, along with snazzy two-tone alloy wheels – 18 inches in diameter for the Premium, 20s on the GT. The latter is also set apart through matrix LED lamps and a body-coloured grille.
The interior design is also pretty dramatic, featuring Peugeot’s trademark i-Cockpit concept with a ten-inch digital instrument display sitting above the small steering wheel, with another ten-inch infotainment touchscreen. The GT is unique in that it gets a fancy 3D-effect instrument display, a third touchscreen for the air-con, Nappa leather upholstery, a 360-degree camera system and a ten-speaker Focal Premium sound system. Autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control are fitted to both variants.
All 408s are powered by a 1.6 litre PureTech turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, sending 218 PS and 300 Nm to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. Want to know how it drives? Peugeot is now offering long test drives over up to three days with its Peugeot Weekender Experience.

Nice offer
I like and enjoy Peugeot because of its ride quality and driving confidence with good handling.
In contrast Japanese cars brag about reliablility, ease of spare parts but never have the good quality ride or magic ride and handling of European Marques.
I remember when I was young and riding inside a Toyota or Nissan Taxis travelling long distance on a trunk road from kl to Kedah.
The Japanese car ride quality and comfort were so bad that I vomitted few times before reaching Alor Setar. However when those taxis were Peugeot and Mercedes I had no such vomitting at all.
Till today i still have phobia travelling in a Japanese cars over a long distance
But today I am proud owner of several BMWs, Volvo’s , Mercedes and Audi’s. These are great cars for long distance travel which are way better to travel than those Japanese cars including MPVs in terms of performance ,comfort and safety
Coming to Peugeot , I think I will be a new owner soon.
The Peugeot 408’s 0.83% interest rate offer until April 30 is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in this dynamic fastback. The 408 features a 1.6L turbocharged PureTech engine delivering 218 hp and 300 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Its fastback-inspired silhouette and advanced PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® enhance both style and driving experience.
