This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed will take place July 10-13, and besides Honda’s Super EV Concept, the world will also see the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N for the first time. Teased here, the second zero-emissions N car will be based on the Ioniq 6 facelift that was revealed a couple of months ago.
Expect a large rear wing, flared wheel arches, a wider stance, lightweight wheels and (obviously) more grunt. For reference, the Ioniq 5 N‘s 650 PS and 770 Nm of torque makes it hit 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.4 seconds and max out at 260 km/h.
As the 6 is lighter and more aerodynamic, it should be faster, even if it’s given the same muscles as the 5 N. It should also have better range than the 5 N’s 448 km WLTP, assuming it gets the same 84 kWh battery.
I’m personally not a fan of the 6 facelift’s squinty-eyed face (slim DRLs above, headlamps below), but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the 6 N will have those eyes, whether you like it or not. The N Line version (red car below) already looks so aggressive; how monstrous will the full-fledged N look? Not long now!
