Zeekr 7X EV shown at PACE 2025 – AWD Performance unit has 20-inch alloys, adaptive air suspension

The handsome Zeekr 7X EV crossover has turned up at the paultan.org Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE) 2025, co-sponsored by Carro and RHB Bank, which is happening July 19-20 at the Setia City Convention Centre. It’s not launched yet, but is open for booking in Malaysia with introductory pricesRM182k (RWD Standard Range), RM195k (RWD Long Range) and RM230k (AWD Performance).

While the unit that was previewed at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 wore 21-inch alloys covered in 265/40 tyres, the AWD Performance here at PACE has 20-inchers wrapped in 265/45 Michelin Pilot Sport EV rubber. A spec sheet on the stand says that the 7X will come with 19s and 20s – let’s see if the 19s will only be on the RWD Standard Range, or the RWD Long Range as well.

Measuring 4,825 mm long, 1,930 mm wide, 1,666 mm tall and with a wheelbase of 2,925 mm, the 800-volt EV goes up against the likes of the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7 – it occupies a larger footprint and has a longer wheelbase than the Tesla, but is slightly smaller than the BYD.

This range-topping variant is two-motor all-wheel drive. Thanks to a 646 PS/710 Nm total output (compared to the one-motor rear-wheel drive variants’ 421 PS/440 Nm), the car gets from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Its 100 kWh NMC battery yields a 540 km WLTP range – which is in between the RWD Standard Range’s 480 km (75 kWh LFP battery) and the RWD Long Range’s 600 km (100 kWh NMC battery).

Zeekr Malaysia has not revealed official charging times yet, but Thailand touts a 10-80% top-up in 10.5 minutes for the smaller battery and 15 minutes for the bigger battery. The AWD Performance is also the only variant with adaptive air suspension and chassis height adjustment.

On the outside, you’ll see concealed door handles and the Zeekr Stargate integrated smart light across its face – this 90-inch light strip has 1,711 high-power LED beads, a 30-fps refresh rate and up to 10,000 nits brightness. It can be customised to display various graphics and even text as well (although the units here at PACE have yet to be OTA-updated for text capability).

Inside, you’ll find a 13.02-inch instrument panel, a 16-inch 3.5K mini-LED infotainment touchscreen, a 36-inch augmented reality head-up display, dual 50-watt wireless chargers, rear seats that can electrically recline up to 10 degrees and which have ‘magic storage boxes’ under them, front massage seats, tri-zone air-con, 21 speakers including headrest speakers, and a powered roof sunshade.

Seven airbags should be standard fare. While there’s no firm indication, what you see here is likely to be closer to the specs Malaysia will eventually get, although how the items will be distributed across the three variants remains to be seen.

Book a 7X with Carro Retail at PACE 2025 and you’ll get a free 22 kW wallbox charger and free premium window tint upon vehicle registration, on top of other goodies courtesy of paultan.org‘s PACE 2025 partners.
