Proton eMas 7 deliveries in 1H 2025 reach 4,003 units – still Malaysia’s best-selling EV, 250 units exported

The Proton eMas 7 continues to be Malaysia’s best-selling electric vehicle, with Pro-Net announcing that cumulative deliveries of the SUV in the first half of the year reached 4,003 units. The company delivered 604 units last month, which is down on the 862 units that found homes in May, but still at the top of the EV heap.

Put in another way, Proton has long since surpassed the 3,000 unit threshold it originally had for the eMas 7’s launch promo, although this was almost immediately extended and eventually made indefinite. Perhaps even more impressive is that the carmaker has now exported over 250 units since the car’s first international launch in Nepal, including the latest expansion to Trinidad and Tobago.

The eMas 7 was updated in Malaysia earlier this month with the introduction of a new Obsidian Black paint option and a limited run (just 250 units) of the much-requested Alabaster White interior colour scheme. The car is also set to gain a tonneau cover and an over-the-air update that adds Apple CarPlay and removes the “ice cream truck” pedestrian warning sound.

Pricing holds steady at RM105,800 for the Prime and RM119,800 for the Premium; again, this lower price will now be applied indefinitely. Power comes from a 218 PS/320 Nm front motor juiced by a 49.52 kWh Aegis “short blade” lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery on the Prime and a 60.22 kWh pack on the Premium, delivering a WLTP-rated range of 345 km and 410 km respectively.
