NKVE users and Shah Alam folks, take note. The area around the Shah Alam interchange and Shah Alam toll plaza is experiencing floods, causing lanes to be unusable and backing up traffic. This is due to the non-stop rain that has been ongoing since yesterday.
The first instance was reported around 9am this morning, when flash flood occurred before the entrance of the Shah Alam toll plaza from the Guthrie Expressway.
The latest updates from PLUS (11.29 am) warn that traffic is bad heading towards the Shah Alam toll, and the latest status (11.35 am) says that the left and middle lanes, as well as the ramp towards the Shah Alam interchange are blocked.
Traffic is bad and one should avoid the area if possible. The rain doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon (in fact, it’s gotten heavier in the time we wrote this post) so seek alternative routes and drive safe.
