We’ve just ushered in the new year but another round of fireworks is just around the corner. Which means another round of sales and shopping! Chery Malaysia is hoping to catch your attention with its CNY 2026 ‘New Year Prosperity Deal’ promotion, which is offering up to RM16,888 cash rebate for MY2025 models.
Naturally, the biggest discount is for the biggest car – the RM159,800 three-row Tiggo 8 Pro is the one with the RM16,888 rebate. It’s followed by RM11,888 off the RM123,800 Tiggo 7 Pro, which is C-segment in size.
The T7P is powered by a 1.6-litre turbo-four with 197 hp/290 Nm, paired to seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The T8P is the most powerful Chery-badged ICE car in Malaysia – its 2.0T engine puts out 256 hp/390 Nm and is paired to a seven-speed DCT as well.
Introduced last year, the Tiggo Cross is Chery’s entry model in Malaysia. It’s available in both pure petrol form (1.5L turbo-four with 147 PS/210 Nm, 6DCT) and a hybrid with a combined 204 PS/310 Nm. At RM99,800, the latter is the most affordable hybrid in Malaysia, while the Turbo is RM10k cheaper at RM88,800. Both now come with a RM6,888 rebate.
In October 2025, Chery launched the RM159,800 Tiggo 8 PHEV and the RM129,800 Tiggo 7 PHEV. The shared CSH powertrain combines a 143 PS/215 Nm 1.5-litre Miller-cycle turbo-four with a 204 PS/310 Nm electric motor that’s integrated within a stepless dedicated hybrid transmission. Combined output is 275 PS/365 Nm. The T8P PHEV is based on the facelift model with an all-new EV-style cockpit.
Both PHEVs come with a RM6,888 rebate and a complimentary extended battery warranty (also includes motor and control unit) of 10 years or 200,000 km, valued at RM3,000. There’s an additional thematic surprise discount of RM1,000 for those who pick the red colour option for the Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo Cross Turbo, making it a total discount of RM7,888 for the two models.
The deals are for units manufactured in 2025, valid till February 28. Click on the links to recap the models.

Nope. Not buying any Chery models no matter how much discount they offer. These cars are just rubbish to drive.
Haters gonna hate
If the product is genuinely good, there is no reason to hate or dislike. All comes down to your own expectation vs budget.
So basically you’re sharing a personal opinion, that means nothing, except to people who share your personal expectations and limited budget?
If you have low expectations on a car, any car that is within your affordability would drive okay but it doesnt change the fact that all Chery models are rubbish to drive. Get it?
chery must be embarrassed that they have an ev in their line up once upon a time. i haven’t seen that one in their promotions for a very long time already.
Nice to drive chery models. Mantap
Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV tidak ada diskaun?
Worth to buy chery
IF u confident with the chery service center, the after discounted rm82k tiggo cross turbo maybe a better buy than the underpower myvi engine traz or the overpower wiper gear lever x50.
